About This Event

Details:

Join Northern Inyo Healthcare District (NIHD) for another Healthy Lifestyle Talk, this month on Colorectal Cancer Awareness, featuring Dr. Robbin Cromer-Tyler and Dr. Connor Wiles. The virtual event will take place on Thursday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom and the NIHD YouTube Channel, YouTube.com/@NorthernInyoHealthcare.

Colorectal cancer is a prevalent and often preventable disease. According to the American Cancer Society, it is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. However, with regular screening, this cancer can often be found early, when it is most treatable.

During the talk, Dr. Cromer-Tyler and Dr. Wiles will discuss important topics including the need for screening, available screening options, how to protect your health, and why age 45 has become the new age 50 in terms of screening recommendations.

Dr. Robbin Cromer-Tyler is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. She continues to expand her knowledge and skill, and serves as one of NIHD’s robotic-assisted surgeons, specializing in gallbladder and hernia treatments.

Likewise, Dr. Connor Wiles is a board-certified general surgeon trained to perform robotic-assisted surgeries. Coming up on his one-year anniversary with the District, Dr. Wiles finds practicing in Bishop a unique opportunity to serve a community that would otherwise travel a great distance to receive care. His training allows him to offer a wide range of services.

Northern Inyo Healthcare District's Healthy Lifestyle Talks are free and open to the public. Held monthly, the talks cover a wide array of health topics. All the talks are then available for convenient viewing on the NIHD YouTube Channel.

Join NIHD and these esteemed physicians for an informative discussion that could save lives.

Watch for the Zoom connection information on the top blue banner of our homepage, www.NIH.org, as of March 22.
