Billing & Financial

Northern Inyo Healthcare District accepts Medicare, Medi-Cal and a number of major insurances, and a number of other government programs.

If you have insurance, we will bill your insurance for you. You will be responsible for policy deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and charges not covered by your insurance plan.

Often prior authorization is required by many insurance companies for various medical services, and some plans have coverage limitations. Please review your insurance plan to determine the requirements and limitations of your specific plan, or contact your insurance company directly. During your care, we will assist you with authorizations.

As a reminder, we bill for:

  • Hospital Services

    • Internal Medicine
    • Pediatrics
    • Orthopedics

  • Hospital-based pathologists, radiologists, and anesthesiologists

Outside service providers, ambulances, outside reference laboratories, such as Lab Corp, will bill you separately for their services.
