Meet Our Providers

Lara Jeanine Arndal, MD

Dr. Arndal has provided care for women in the Owens Valley for more than a decade. She completed her undergraduate training in California, medical training at UC Davis and residency in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Arndal lives in Bishop with her husband and three sons.

Jennifer Figueroa, PA-C

Martha B. Kim, MD

Dr. Kim has worked in the Eastern Sierra for almost 10 years. She completed her medical training at Dartmouth Medical School, OB/GYN residency at University of Hawaii and Internal Medicine at Kaiser San Francisco Health Center. Dr. Kim has been in Board Certified since 2004. She has academic appointments at Oregon Health Sciences University and UC Davis. Dr. Kim is an avid ski mountaineer and climber.

Jeannie Pflum, DO

Dr. Jeannie Pflum obtained her degree in osteopathic medicine at the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Vermont. With more than 10 years of experience, she specializes in minimally invasive gynecological surgery and urogynecology. Her personal interests include family and land speed racing.

Jennifer Norris, CNM

Jennifer is a Certified Nurse-Midwife practicing since 2010. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, the national certifying body for Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs).

Prior to that, she was a Labor & Delivery nurse for 12 years at Northern Inyo Hospital. Jennifer is a Bishop native.

Robert Nathan Slotnick, MD, PhD

Dr. Slotnick is trained as a Medical Geneticist with Specialty training in High Risk Obstetrics, Cancer Genetics, Cardiac Genetics and Pediatric Genetics. He has had academic training and appointments at University of Pittsburgh, UC San Francisco, UC Davis, Eastern Virginia Medical School and University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine. He lives in Reno with his wife and a stubborn Welsh terrier.

Sarah Zuger, MD

Dr. Zuger is trained in full spectrum Family Medicine. She provides comprehensive health care for individuals and families including obstetrics and pediatrics. She completed her medical training at University of Washington and residency in Missoula, Montana. Dr. Zuger lives in Bishop with her husband and two dogs and spends her free time climbing, mountain biking and backcountry snowboarding in the Eastern Sierra.
