Northern Inyo Healthcare District's Patient Navigators And Support Services are here to help connect patients and families with resources, coordinate services, and provide support throughout their care journey.

Patient Navigators work with patients to help coordinate appointments, provide education, assist with insurance and financial concerns, and connect individuals with available support services.

Oncology Patient Navigator Services

Our Oncology Patient Navigator helps patients and families navigate cancer care by providing support and connecting them with resources throughout treatment and recovery.

Services include:

• Assistance with scheduling screenings, diagnostic tests, and referrals
• Help identifying and addressing barriers to care
• Connections to emotional, financial, and educational support resources
• Information about support groups and mentor programs
• Access to local and national cancer-specific resources
• Referrals for genetic counseling, dietitians, and community agencies
• Ongoing support and advocacy throughout the cancer care journey

Recovery Support Navigator Services

Our Recovery Support Navigators assists individuals and families affected by substance use by providing guidance, support, and connections to available resources.

Services include:

• Access to Narcan training and opioid overdose prevention resources
• Support following emergency department visits related to overdose or withdrawal
• Guidance for individuals seeking help with substance use recovery
• Support for family members and caregivers
• Assistance for individuals who are unsure where to begin seeking help
• Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) patient coordination
• Appointment coordination and resource navigation
• Information about support groups
• Harm reduction education and resources
