Diagnostic Imaging

It is often more than basic lab work that is needed to identify a problem. The correct diagnosis of illness, and a clear understanding of injury, may need a more detailed view of the body or affected area. This is when diagnostic imaging produces valuable information. We do non- and minimally-invasive studies that result in better exams with better reports.

Our machines are state-of-the-art, and the new technologies mean that you’re subjected to less discomfort, shorter testing times, and limited radiation exposure. In addition to the tried-and-tested imaging like, x-ray, we have the latest equipment to conduct CT scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography (including breast MRI), ultrasound, and other highly specialized and specific medical radiology and sonography. In fact, we can scan the entire body, head to foot, into .625mm slices in less than 10 seconds.

A few of our imaging techniques are also used for pain management services. We work closely with physicians to provide a combination of diagnosis, intervention, and therapy. Beyond NIH, we also work with the team at Tahoe Carson Radiology.
