Join Northern Inyo Healthcare District (NIHD) for a Healthy Lifestyle Talk on Know the Risk, Act Early: Colorectal Cancer and the Importance of Screening, featuring Robbin Cromer-Tyler, MD, and Allison J. Robinson, MD. The event will take place on March 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Those wishing to attend may do so in person at the NIHD Birch Street Annex, 2957 Birch St., Bishop, near the Jill Kinmont Boothe School in the Manor Market area. Or, those wishing to attend from the comfort of their home may attend via Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85223413131.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting both men and women in the United States. Regular screening can help find it early, when treatment is most effective, and in some cases, prevent cancer before it starts.

During the talk, Dr. Cromer-Tyler and Dr. Robinson will discuss colorectal health, screening recommendations, warning signs, risk factors, and why younger adults should be part of the conversation. The discussion will also cover how early detection supports better outcomes and when it may be time to talk with a provider about screening.

Northern Inyo Healthcare District’s Healthy Lifestyle Talks are free and open to the public. These talks cover a variety of health topics and are designed to provide helpful, practical information that supports healthier communities.

Join NIHD for an informative discussion focused on awareness, prevention, and the steps younger adults can take to protect their health.
