About Richard
Dr. Meredick hails from Northeast Pennsylvania. After completing his undergraduate education, he received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he immediately found himself drawn to Musculoskeletal medicine through which he could apply his passion for physics and biomechanics to the function of the human body.
In order to advance his surgical skills and gain extensive hands-on surgical training in Orthopedics, he completed his residency training at the Akron General Medical Center in Ohio where he focused on complex fracture care and total joint replacement.
He subsequently completed an extra year of fellowship training in Arthroscopic Surgery and Joint Reconstruction with a particular focus on the shoulder and knee.
While Dr. Meredick thoroughly enjoys the outcomes he can achieve in the operating room, his focus still remains on patient education which involves a team effort (both inside and outside the operating room) to help each individual restore and maintain his/her musculoskeletal health.
