About Monica

Monica spent most of her childhood in Maryland and Pennsylvania, spending her time hiking, caving, and teaching Martial Arts. She moved out west at age 18 to rock climb and attend school. In 2008, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, where she spent summers as a wildland firefighter following two terms on a conservation crew with Americorps.
