Breast Health

Dr. Jay Harness, a world-recognized expert in breast cancer surgery, leads the Breast Health Program. He is known for his skill in medical surgery and cosmetic surgery to repair breasts impacted by cancer.

Dr. Harness performs various surgical procedures such as oncoplasty reconstruction, portacath removal, and breast wire localization excisional biopsies. Dr. Harness is the author of The Breast Cancer Answers Book. He has also co-authored 100 manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters and is on the editorial board of numerous journals. Most importantly, Dr. Harness is your partner in your fight against cancer. He co-owns your condition, treatment and outcome alongside you. He treats you as a person, rather than as a patient. He brings a focus to your emotional reconstruction as well as to your surgical care results.


Urology services at Northern Inyo Healthcare District focus on the urinary tract and system, including the kidneys and bladder, as well as male reproductive organs. Our urologists treat a full range of conditions from the routine to prostate cancer. If surgery is necessary, our surgeons offer progressive surgical techniques including robot-assisted surgery.

Meet Our Surgeons

Matthew Ercolani, MD, FABU, FACS

Dr. Matthew Ercolani is joining our Medical Staff on a part-time basis as an Urologist. He will be seeing patients in the Specialty clinic.

Dr. Ercolani is a Board Certified Urologist who is Fellowship trained in Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery. He completed his residency in general surgery and urology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and completed his fellowship in Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology at L’Insititut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France.

Dr. Ercolani specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery in the areas of prostate, kidney, bladder, and female pelvic reconstructive surgery. He also has extensive experience with state of the art treatment modalities for overactive bladder and urinary problems caused by enlarged prostate. He serves as a proctor for Intuitive Surgical daVinci™ robotic surgery, InterStim™, GreenLight XPS™and Urolift™ - teaching surgeons from around the country how to perform these cutting edge treatments.

Daniel Su, MD, FACS

Dr. Su specializes in urologic oncology. He has expertise in the treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer. Dr. Su completed a SUO (Society of Urologic Oncology) accredited fellowship after a rigorous general urology residency. He served as the Senior Staff Surgeon at the National Cancer Institute, a part of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Su has extensive experience in both oncology and benign robotic procedures.

Dr. Su completed his residency training at Rutgers Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed a fellowship in urology oncology at the NIH/NCI Urology Oncology Branch in Bethesda, Maryland.

Partnered with Dr. Ercolani, Dr. Su will alternate with Dr. Ercolani to provide urology services. During his time here, he will be seeing patients in the Specialty Clinic and performing surgeries in the NIH Operating Suites (including robot-assisted surgeries). He is traveling to the Eastern Sierra from his home in Irvine, California.
